This “first mover” 12 MW colo | enterprise-scale data center project to be built on a selected site within a high-quality industrial park located some 45 miles south of the metro Manila city center in the Philippines. The master plan is programmed to serve a range of retail to hyperscale data center customers within a two-story 90 -100,000 SF powered shell. This plan calls for 12.0 MW of total IT capacity in four 3,000 kW data center suites designed around a N+1 distributed redundant design in two 5 to make 4 configurations. At this early stage, the plan can be modified into a “build-to-suit” model to meet specific customer demands. The project is envisioned to be the first of several data centers to be built within 50 miles of the Manila City Center over the next several years.

The developer of the project is a Philippines affiliate of US-based CloudCenters, LLC.

The site that has emerged as the leading candidate is located in an established high tech industrial park with the following attributes:

  • Power
    • Total power available, 80MW (provided by 2 50 MVA transformers
    • Current consumption 25MW
    • Available power 55MW (via 34.5 kV feeders)
    • Power source is 100% green/renewable
  • Connectivity Providers
    • Globe, offering bandwidth speeds of up to 5Gbps (10 Gbps w/ special equipment). Main existing fiber line is 144 core with an additional 144 core fiber line planned. Looped configuration and dedicated fiber line available.
    • PLDT, offering bandwidth speeds up to 10Gbps. Main existing fiber line is 216 core in a looped design configuration. Dedicated fiber lines also available.
    • Eastern, offering bandwidth speeds up to 1Gbps (10 Gbps w/ special equipment). Main existing fiber line is 48 fiber core in the main road.

The site has been acquired. Design development is planned for completion by late February 2022, with site construction to commence late Q2 2022. The 2-story powered shell will be delivered late Q1 2021. The first 3.0 to 6.0 MW data hall could be delivered at approximately the same time.
